BSI Newsletter

Good Afternoon Families,

Happy first day of May! During the month of May, there are many important events to keep in mind so make sure to scroll down to the “Upcoming Events” section.

Math State Test

This is a reminder that tomorrow Math State test will begin.

Please make sure your children get a good night’s sleep and nutritious breakfast before each testing day. When speaking to your child about the tests, it is important to minimize the stress and anxiety that tests often produce by simply encouraging them to do their very best, without putting too much emphasis on a particular outcome.

What happens during test administration if a student is absent?

If a student is absent during test administration, the school will administer the test during the make-up period. If a student is also absent during the make-up period the student will not be tested.

DOE Spring Conf. – Family Math Night

Join us for an evening filled with math games, logic puzzles, brain teasers and STEM activities.  All grades and their families are invited.

May 17th from 4:30-7:30

Friends and Family Day

On May 26th, we will have our annual Friends and Family day from 9 to 11 am. There will be a PTO meeting at 8:30 am before Friends and Family activities.

STEMLab

Our STEMLab was one of the winning projects on Council Member David G. Greenfield‘s District 44 Participatory Budget ballot! Greenfield held a press conference last week at school announcing that we’ll receive $500,000 in funding!
